“Deplorable Vet” Takes Maxine Waters By Surprise After She Spat On President, Makes An Offer She Can’t Refuse
After Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) made it clear that she was not going to attend Donald Trump’s first State of the Union address, an African-American veteran offered to take her seat for her.
Waters is one of several Democratic leaders that are planning on skipping out on the event, telling MSNBC last week that Trump is “the most despicable human being that could possibly ever walk the earth.”
“Why would I take my time to go and sit and listen to a liar? … He doesn’t deserve my attention,” Waters said.
A ten-year Army veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan, Ricky Taylor, then tweeted that he would be willing to take Water’s seat so that he could thank the president in person.
Taylor, who was interviewed on “Fox and Friends” says he uses the Twitter handle “Deplorable Vet” because he is proud to support Donald Trump after Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” remark, he thought he would embrace the term.
“You can call us what you want, but we’re still going to support our president,” Taylor said.
He said he takes issue with how Waters tries to speak for all black people and minorities.
“There’s so many Trump supporters out there that are minorities,” Taylor said. “She doesn’t speak for everybody, she surely doesn’t speak for me.”
As for the offer for the seat, Taylor said he has not yet heard from Waters’ office.
“She does this for a publicity stunt. She does it to kind of pander to her audience,” Taylor said. “And I just thought it was extremely disrespectful for her to say that about the president.”
Lets get this retweeted, favorited, and shared as many times as possible and get this man to the State of the Union. It would be absolutely hilarious, if in Waters’ seat, was a pro Trump veteran.
